Group lunch at Big Bowl today - mighty tasty. From there, John and Tom took the kids to play frisbee golf, while the lovely Valerie and I did a little shopping...little Pottery Barn here, little Anthropologie there, little damage to the ol' pocketbook. (Good thing Alfred's was closed for the holiday weekend...damn, how I lurve the shoes at Alfred's...)

And for din, again, a little of this, little of that...tapas of various sorts. Roasted green beans, tomato toast with ham and/or manchego, olives, almonds, frittata, roasted potatoes with tuna, another big salad. Pasta with garlic and oil for the kids. We'll see if Uncle Tom will be able to "full house" it again tonight - that's what he dubbed last night's feat of consuming three hamburgers and two hot dogs - a full house. Yeah, baby!

Dinner was very nice, and post-dinner was the best. Tom, Valerie, John, and I sat on the deck, sipping a nice red, and chatted and laughed 'til the sun went down. Our last night before they head back to NYC in the morn...
