Today was a Nathan-Mom Day, we have a dedicated one every once in awhile, something different and more special than our usual. Soooo fun. While it rained all day, we finished cleaning up from last night's party, then watched part of a Justice League marathon, planned a dinner to cook together for John, shopped at Byerly's for the ingredients, and came back here to prepare Andrew Zimmern's cold cucumber soup, chicken with paprika sauce, and risotto. BLAST! Despite the rain, it was a bit hot (and humid) for standing over the stove stirring risotto and reducing sauces, but that's OK. John totally appreciated his "chicken & rice" dinner, and I had a blast chopping and peeling veggies with The Tinsk.
After drawing together for awhile - Nathan sketching Danny Phantom, me, Wonder Woman and a mermaid, since "girls" of some sort are about all I know how to draw, and I still sadly draw them exactly the way I did when I was Nathan's age, ha - I'm pretty darn tired.
Tomorrow, the end of Little League baseball for the season, the championship game. Stay tuned...
